The weather was perfect for odonates - sunny with a high around 90. However, odonate numbers were low. We found 40 species comprising 1974 individuals.

Interestingly, the greatest numbers and diversity of dragonflies occurred in the western part of the county, even after accounting for the fact that two groups were looking in that area.

Twenty-nine people participated, including seven who were new to the dragonfly count.
