for Maryland and Minnesota


I use two butterfly guides in Maryland:
  Kaufman Guide to Butterflies of North America
  Butterflies Through Binoculars: The East

And in Minnesota I use this butterfly guide as well:
  Butterflies of the North Woods, 2nd Ed.

For moths I have the small Golden guide. It's good as far as it goes, but it doesn't include many species. So I mostly rely on BugGuide.net.
